Chevy Stuns the Crowd at AutoMobility LA with its 2017 Spark ACTIV
On the first day of AutoMobility LA, the General Motors Company revealed the newest member of its mini-car lineup, which comes in the form of the 2017 Chevrolet Spark ACTIV.
This newest version of the Chevy Spark has its own distinct look thanks to new 15-inch wheels, round fog lamps, and a unique grille design that contains the ACTIV nameplate. Furthermore, the Spark ACTIV features a ride height that is approximately 0.4 inch taller than the base model due to a revised suspension.
The changes don’t stop there, though, as the interior of the Spark ACTIV contains a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated leatherette front seats, and the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen. This advanced infotainment system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and it can also be used to access SiriusXM satellite radio.
Folks riding inside the Spark ACTIV will also enjoy standard luxury amenities like air conditioning, cruise control, and a rear-vision camera system, just to name a few of its many features.
Chevrolet plans to release the Spark ACTIV in the first quarter of 2017 and it will carry a starting MSRP of $16,945, but that’s only when the vehicle is equipped with the standard five-speed manual transmission. Buyers who prefer not have a clutch pedal in their vehicle will have to pay $18,045 for the Spark ACTIV with the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
“The new Spark ACTIV is all about adventurous fun and style,” said Chevrolet director of Car and Crossover Marketing Steve Majoros. “It has an attitude, while still offering the sophisticated, efficient and connected driving experience customers have come to love.”
