Chevy Suburban Premium Outdoors Concept Features Cool Tailgating Package
Today at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Chevy is showing off, among several other concepts, the Chevy Suburban Premium Outdoors Concept. (You can read more about the Chevy Suburban Premium Outdoors Concept here.)
What’s really cool about this concept is its unique tailgating package, which includes a big-screen, smart HDTV and a table and matching benches that were built from wood salvaged from deconstructed Detroit homes. Workshop Detroit, a business that builds the majority of its furniture from salvaged materials, did the work on the table and benches, which speaks to their quality.
“Using salvaged materials like this is more than simply recycling and keeping valuable materials out of a landfill – it’s about preserving something tangible from Detroit’s history,” commented James Willer of Workshop Detroit. “That house may no longer exist, but a piece of its legacy lives on.”
The Chevy Suburban Premium Outdoors Concept will remain on display throughout SEMA’s run in Vegas, but the tailgating package likely won’t make it into production.
