This week at SEMA, Chevy is showing off its Silverado Polaris ACE+ Concept, a design that is meant to remind everyone that the Silverado was not just built for work, but also for play. The concept truck features a Polaris® ACE™, which is a single-seat, sit-in off-roader that launched just this year, in the pickup bed.

The Silverado Polaris ACE+ Concept makes use of production accessories that drivers can get through dealers, as well as concept components that could possibly be used in future models. The concept was built on the 2015 Silverado 1500 crew cab with a 6’6” cargo bed. The model also features the Z71 Off-Road package so that there’s no trouble transporting the Polaris ACE to its intended terrain.

The Chevy Silverado Polaris ACE+ Concept sits on 33-inch x 12.5-inch off-road tires, which are mounted on 22-inch aluminum wheels from Chevrolet Accessories. The concept also adds concept fender flares, a concept bed-mounted sports bar with custom LED lighting, and a concept front nudge bar, among other upgrades. The interior features the latest MyLink technology and leather-trimmed seating.

Purring from beneath the hood is an EcoTec3 5.3-liter V8 direct-injection engine with continuously variable valve timing and Active Fuel Management. The pickup’s engine also benefits from concept air-induction and exhaust systems. Brakes also get the concept treatment, with a Brembo package. All told, the powertrain is good for 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque.

“The Silverado is designed to work hard for its owner, on or off the clock,” said Sandor Piszar, the director of Chevrolet truck marketing. “Pairing it with the new Polaris ACE perfectly illustrates how the Silverado easily changes its support role when it’s time to leave the job site for the trail head.”

Look out for Chevy and Polaris at SEMA this week in Vegas. Other Chevy displays include the Colorado Performance Concept and the Camaro Commemorative Edition, among others.
