SEMA is just heating up in Las Vegas, but already, Chevy’s truck and SUV SEMA concepts have been generating quite the buzz. Among the concepts are the Silverado High Desert Concept (which explains that “High Desert” trademark application), the Tahoe Premium Outdoors Concept, and the Suburban Premium Outdoors Concept.

The first of Chevy’s truck and SUV SEMA concepts is the Silverado High Desert, which is based on the High Country (go figure) crew cab. Notable for the High Desert Concept is the flexible and lockable concept storage system for the cargo bed. It also gets body-color front and rear bumpers, a unique chrome grille that sports horizontal chrome bars, and the ever bright halogen projector headlamps.

Inside, the concept boasts heated and cooled perforated premium leather front bucket seats that feature the High Country logos on the headrests, as well as an exclusive saddle brown interior, Chevy MyLink, a Bose® sound system, and front and rear park assist. The exterior is also updated, with Oxide Gold and Russet accents added to the Deepwood Green paintjob. Door handles and mirror caps go body-colored, and the truck bed is updated with a sport bar.

Under the hood of the Silverado High Desert is an EcoTec3 6.2-liter V8, paired with a Hydra-Matic 8L90 eight-speed automatic transmission.

Built on the LTZ four-wheel-drive production Tahoe, the Premium Outdoors Concept adds luxury to the exterior and the interior. The exterior benefits from a unique Black Ice paintjob (enhanced with Cool Tinted accents), as well as a concept grille insert, 22-inch wheels from Chevrolet Accessories, retractable running boards, and body-color door handles and front fascia.

Chevy updated the interior with Cool Tinted accents to match the exterior and added a suede-trimmed headliner and contemporary loop-carpet floor mats. Also added into the mix are Chevrolet Accessories illuminated sill plates and leather-trimmed black and Saddle-colored appointments that feature contrasting Petrol Blue piping.

The Tahoe Premium Outdoors Concept is powered by an EcoTec3 5.3-liter V8, features concept Brembo six-piston front brake calipers, and is laden with new technology, including wireless phone charging and OnStar with 4G LTE and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot.

The Tahoe and Suburban are eternally linked, so the concepts share quite a bit in common. The Suburban Premium Outdoors Concept, however, is powered by an EcoTec3 6.2-liter V8, for an 18% increase in horsepower and a 20% increase in torque over the production Suburban model.

The exterior of the Suburban concept includes a Pepperdust color and Warm Tarnished accents. The concept also benefits from a tailgating package that includes a big-screen, smart HDTV in the cargo area, as well as a handcrafted table and accompanying benches. The best part? They are made of wood from salvaged Detroit homes (the table and benches, not the TV).
