2014 Jeep Compass Limited - Chrysler Group April Sales

Chrysler Group April sales were up 14 percent, thanks in part to the Jeep Compass.

Chrysler Group April sales numbers are in, and, to no one’s surprise, the automotive group saw an increase. The news is getting a little old, however, as this is the 49th consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains. Impressive, right?

In April of 2014, Chrysler Group LLC moved a total of 178,652 units in the U.S., compared to 156,698 in April of 2013. This marks a 14 percent increase year-over-year for the Chrysler brands, as well as the very best April sales for Chrysler Group since 2007.

Specifically, Jeep, Dodge, Ram Truck, and Fiat all posted year-over-year gains for April. In fact, Jeep saw a 52 percent increase, making it the largest sales gain of any Chrysler Group brand in April and Jeep’s best month of sales ever.

“Strong consumer demand for our Jeep sport-utility vehicles and Ram pickup trucks continued in April as Chrysler Group extended its streak to 49-consecutive months of year-over-year sales gains,” said Reid Bigland, Head of U.S. Sales. “The spring selling season is heating up as our Jeep brand had its best monthly sales ever. Both of our minivans had a strong April and the Ram pickup truck had its best April sales ever.”

In total, seven vehicles set sales records this past April: the Jeep Compass, the Ram pickup truck, the Jeep Patriot, the Jeep Wrangler, the Dodge Challenger, the Dodge Journey, and the Ram Cargo Van. Chrysler Group minivans did well also, with Dodge Grand Caravan sales jumping 36 percent and Chrysler Town & Country sales increasing 16 percent.
