Chrysler Group October 2014 Sales Report Released
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has released its Chrysler Group October 2014 sales report with some pretty positive numbers. In total, the group moved 170,480 units here in the United States, which marks a 22% increase over sales from October 2013 and the best October for the collective brands since 2001.
Specifically, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram, and Fiat posted increases over last year’s October sales. It’s no surprise that Jeep again led the charge with a 52% increase in sales over October 2013. In fact, it was Jeep’s best October in the books.
Chrysler Group has now achieved 55 consecutive months of year-over-year sales gains, meaning that it has been climbing the ladder of success without any steps down for nearly five years.
October was not just a good month for the brands but also for several specific models. In total, nine models achieved their best ever October, including the Chrysler 200, Dodge Challenger, Dodge Dart, Jeep Cherokee, and Jeep Wrangler.
“Chrysler Group sales increased 22 percent in October, our eighth month of double-digit growth this year and our 55th-consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains,” commented Reid Bigland, who is the head of U.S. Sales. “Chrysler Group is the industry’s fastest-growing automaker driven in part by sales of our all-new Jeep Cherokee and Chrysler 200 mid-size sedan, and by the strong consumer demand for our award-winning Ram pickup trucks.”
