Chrysler President Al Gardner Named to Dealer Network Post
Chrysler’s president and CEO, Alistair “Al” Gardner, in addition to having one badass name, has been appointed as Vice President Dealer Network Development. This position will not replace his current one, but will be held alongside his role as president and CEO.
Gardner will be replacing Peter Grady, who had previously stated his intent to retire on March 31st, 2015.
Gardner has been with Chrysler since back in 1986. Over the last three decades, he has fulfilled a number of duties in various roles. It wasn’t until November of 2013, however, that Gardner was named president and CEO of the Chrysler Brand.
Let’s just hope that Al Gardner’s first day in his dealer network post goes better than Tony Gardner’s first day at Dunder Mifflin Scranton. (Yes, that was a reference to The Office, and no, we’re not sorry.)
