Consumer Reports Calls 2014 Buick Regal Premium Overlooked
When you begin your search for a luxury compact sedan, Buick may not be the first thing that comes to mind. If the experts at Consumer Reports are accurate in their assessment (as they so often are), the 2014 Buick Regal Premium is one of the most overlooked great cars on the market today. The Regal is going head-to-head with the world’s best sport sedans, which is no small feat, and a new list from Consumer Reports suggests that it’s more than capable of holding its own.
“The Regal is a well-honed sports sedan,” Consumer Reports states in an article that appears in their April 2014 issue. “Our car delivered a taut and steady ride, somewhat sporty handling, and quick steering. The 2.0-liter turbo engine is quick, fairly quiet, and relatively sparing with fuel. The nicely furnished interior has supportive seats and excellent fit and finish.”
Turns out, the 2014 Buick Regal Premium is a fine-tuned sports sedan. Who knew?
Buick offers plenty of standard equipment, so ‘luxury’ doesn’t necessarily mean extra upgrade costs. Inside, the 2014 Buick Regal offers an impressive upscale interior with Intellilink touchscreen interface, enhanced driver instrument information cluster, and seven-speaker audio system. The Premium trim adds Passive Keyless Entry with Push Button State, heated steering wheel, rear parking assist, and eight-way adjustable passenger seat.
It’s no accident that the Buick Regal was voted 2014 Best Upscale Midsize Car for the Money by U.S. News & World Report. The Regal outranks a number of more expensive upscale midsize cars based on lower ownership costs and more positive reviews.
So, let’s get this straight: the 2014 Buick Regal Premium is less expensive than competitors and no less luxurious. Tell us again why it’s underrated?
