Corvette Performance Data Recorder films an ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

If you haven’t yet seen a video of someone performing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge—or haven’t even heard of it—you must be pretty deep under that rock of yours. Everyone on Facebook and other social media outlets, from your grandmother to politicians to celebrities to Kermit the Frog, has probably been challenged by now to perform the stunt, which involves donating $10 to the ALS Association, dumping a bucket of ice water on your head, and challenging three new people to do the same. That, or you skip the ice bucket and make a donation of $100. Not only has it been raising insane amounts for the organization, but it has also raised so much awareness for a formerly un-discussed disease.

Car fans, and specifically Corvette fans, are going to want to check out one of the more recent installments in the video below, in which the Corvette Performance Data Recorder films an ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, performed by a Chevy communications intern, Courtney Moats.

Moats takes the ice water like a champ.

In the video, the Corvette Performance Data Recorder makes use of the Stingray’s camera to film Moats as she sits on a chair in front of another Corvette Stingray.

Obviously, because the microphone is inside the cabin and not outside of the car, it’s somewhat hard to hear. But it still does a good job of showing off the technology’s capabilities while also promoting a good cause.
