In the 2008 film The Dark Knight, the Joker famously said, “If you are good at something, never do it for free.”

Those seem to be words that Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson lives by. In case you are not familiar with the rapper’s career, Mr. Cent earned worldwide fame by talking over beats and was formerly one of the wealthiest men in the history of hip-hop, but multiple lawsuits forced the rapper and actor to file for bankruptcy in 2015. However, it appears the 41-year-old entrepreneur might have come up with a new plan to get back on top of Forbe’s Hip Hop Cash Kings list.

Speaking with the Daily Star, 50 Cent said he’s watched the new version of Top Gear without controversial host Jeremy Clarkson, and then presented an idea of how to increase ratings for the struggling automotive program.

In true 50 Cent fashion, the rapper offered to become the show’s new presenter, but only if he were to be compensated correctly.

“I would love to work on Top Gear, I could save that show for sure, but it would cost them… There ain’t a car I haven’t owned over the years, my car collection is as good as anybody’s out there,” 50 told the Daily Star. “The show since the old team left has been unrecognizable and if it don’t get back to where is should be soon then it may never recover.”

It can’t be denied that 50 Cent has a way with words, which has been proven by the fact that rap fans have flocked to his live shows for more than a decade now, but how would a non hip-hop audience react to the large chip he carries on his shoulder and the negative attitude he reveals from time to time, especially via Instagram where he recently got heat for sharing a video in which he repeatedly insulted a disabled airport worker.

Also, while the rap star has owned every supercar from a Lamborghini Murcielago to the new Rolls Royce Phantom, that alone might not make him qualified to host the most popular car show on the planet. In addition, how could this guy be expected to treat any potential guests nicely when he can’t he even handle strangers walking up to his Rolls when he drives it through New York City?

The title of 50 Cent’s debut album was “Get Rich or Die Tryin” and he definitely accomplished that mission. So, if he really is serious about hosting car shows and getting out of debt, he could probably accomplish that too.

The guy is a hustler after all.
