2017 Mazda CX-9

Mazda must have a whole wing of its headquarters for its lineup’s various awards. But now, it is going to have to clear a little more room, because the 2017 CX-9 has now been given Strategic Vision’s Total Quality Award as top mid-size SUV in its segment.

The award strives to be a complete measure of the total quality of the ownership experience, using surveys about even the tiniest details, including reliability, driving excitement, engine noise, seat material, and general performance.

Strategic Vision describes the award as “the complete, holistic measure of experience that encompasses positive and negative product experience, including reliability, driving excitement, and other aspects of dealership experiences – all energized by the emotional response associated with the experiences.”

Strategic Vision gave the CX-9 the Total Quality Impact Award because it met or exceeded expectations with fantastic performance and a luxury interior.te

The Mazda CX-9 is the brand’s flagship SUV. It gets its power from a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, producing up to 250 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque, and is filled on the inside with the top luxury features Mazda offers. The CX-9 comes with available Nappa leather, actual aluminum trim and rosewood trim provided by Japanese guitar-maker Fujigen, and provides exceptional safety protection, as it has already earned an Insurance Institute of Highway Safety Top Safety Pick+ award.
