Datsun Concept Sketch Reveals Future Direction of Nissan Design
Nissan boasts three global brands; two of which we are quite familiar with here in the United States with Infiniti and Nissan itself, but the third is a little more obscure. Datsun vehicles aren’t sold in North America, but it is that nameplate which could be giving us our first look at the next generation of Nissan, Infiniti, Datsun vehicles alike.
Datsun recently release a sketch of a concept vehicle that could signal the future of Nissan’s overall design plans. The sleek compact is a teaser of the new concept that Datsun is set to unveil at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014 held in the India Expo Market in Greater Noida Delhi NCR.
The sleek concept in the teaser image sports aerodynamic lines, an aggressive front fascia, and a rear spoiler. According to Nissan’s press release, “the concept car represents a possible direction for the future expansion of Datsun’s model line-up for up-and-coming young customers in high-growth markets, such as India,” but we wouldn’t be surprised to see it arrive on North America shores with a Nissan badge in the coming years.
