The real stars of The Fate of the Furious: Two Dodge Demons?

Vin Diesel is a man born to star in movies about fast cars. Even his last name is “Diesel”! Mr. Diesel is currently set to star in one of the most anticipated sequels of the year, and I’m not talking about XXX: Return of Xander Cage. The eighth installment of The Fast and the Furious franchise, dubbed The Fate of the Furious, is set to hit theaters on April 12. Production of the movie recently wrapped up, and to celebrate Vin Diesel addressed his entire production team (presumably with the exception of on-set rival Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) with a rousing speech. However, what is far more fascinating than Diesel’s words of wisdom is the fact that the video may have given car enthusiasts a look at one of the most anticipated new models in the industry.

From the looks of it, Vin Diesel’s The Fate of the Furious wrap speech video just leaked the Dodge Demon.

You can view Diesel’s entire speech in the video below:

Those not distracted by the fact that Vin Diesel uttered the word “wonderful” eight times in a row during the speech may have noticed that two gorgeous Dodge vehicles are sitting out in the middle of the set. This isn’t all that odd, as The Fast and the Furious franchise has used plenty of Dodge vehicles in the past. In fact, Dominic Toretto’s vehicle of choice is a 1970 Dodge Charger.

So it may be easy to simply dismiss these two as Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcats. However, a closer look reveals some evidence that these could in fact be a pair of Demons.

A Closer Look at the Dodge Demon: Dodge Demon to be 200 Pounds Lighter Than Current Dodge Challenger

The most vital piece of evidence would be the large hood scoop on the vehicles. These Challenger models appear to have a wider hood scoop than the current Challenger SRT Hellcat vehicles. However, this wider scoop does look similar to the one seen on the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.

Also supporting the theory that these are Dodge Demons is the wheel structure and casing, which resembles the image of the Demon that Dodge released in the brand’s latest teaser video.

One final piece of evidence can only be seen if we enhance the image.

Demon Badge

The badge affixed to the front of the vehicle doesn’t seem to resemble the one currently attached to the 2017 Dodge Challenger Hellcat SRT. In fact, it vaguely resembles the symbol of the Dodge Demon!

FCA has announced a new Dodge Demon muscle car will debut at the 2017 New York Auto Show

Now, the vehicles seen in this video could simply be modified Challenger Hellcats, specifically designed for the latest The Fast and the Furious movie. However, with all of the supporting evidence, it seems very likely that Dom and his “family” will be driving around the latest performance vehicle from the Dodge family: the Dodge Demon.

For a sneak peek of the latest vehicles from the Dodge lineup, it seems that all we will have to do is wait until “Daddy” (as Diesel has dubbed himself in the video) finishes up production of the inevitable ninth movie in The Fast and the Furious series. Until then, enjoy this image of dancing Baby Groot in honor of Vin Diesel, father of The Fast and the Furious.
