Dive Into The World Of ‘Star Wars’ at Nissan Dealerships
Nissan’s partnership with Lucasfilm is giving Star Wars fans a lot of car fun to look forward to in the coming months. The brand transformed its lineup into special show cars representing major characters in the films, and it’s all but guaranteed that Nissan will be bringing the Star Wars galaxy to the major motor shows all over the country. If you can’t make it to one of the big auto shows this year to see the cars in person, don’t worry, as you can experience all the excitement from a galaxy far, far away in a new dealership augmented reality app experience.
Think Small: Consider the features of the 2017 Nissan Sentra
According to Nissan, dealership showrooms around the country in December will allow visitors to play with Nissan’s new augmented reality app developed with the team at Lucasfilm. This app lets potential car buyers experience Nissan’s advanced Intelligent Mobility technologies in the world of Star Wars. Called “See the Unseen,” players will see stromtroopers, familiar droids like BB-8 and C-3PO, and Star Wars spaceships interacting with the Star Wars Nissan vehicles to show off how features like Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, ProPILOT Assist, Blind Spot Warning, and Intelligent Around View Monitor all work.
“In our collaboration with Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi, we have brought ‘Retail Theater’ to Nissan showrooms and found exciting ways to engage customers with a new world of technology” said Jeremy Tucker, vice president of Marketing for Nissan North America. “While the competition is focused on Santa Claus and red bows this holiday season, we are filling our dealerships with stormtroopers, Virtual Reality and the new Augmented Reality Experience, making the Nissan shopping experience much more fun, engaging and educational.”
