Dodge vehicles have always been featured prominently in the Fast & Furious franchise since its very inception. Therefore, the most recent announcement from Dodge isn’t really all that surprising.

Dodge and The Fate of the Furious will partner for a co-branded promotional campaign.

Dodge teaming up with The Fate of the Furious isn’t all that much of a surprise. After all, Dodge vehicles have been featured prominently in various trailers and television spots for the eighth installment of the Fast & Furious franchise.

However, the new announcement from Dodge shows just how deep the partnership between the two groups goes. We are talking Dom and his family levels of deep.

Dodge’s multitier campaign with Universal Pictures will include social media and digital extensions, licensed products, and, of course, television advertisements. In fact, the first of these Fast & Furious-themed Dodge commercials is set to be premiered tomorrow.

Nevertheless, through the power of the internet you can watch the ad, title “Muscle Heaven,” below:

The Dodge Demon logo is featured prominently in the commercial, adding fuel to rumors that the brand new performance model will appear on screen during the movie around the same time as its official debut at the New York International Auto Show. At the very least, we see the Fast & Furious team driving Dodge Challengers during the spot.

Other Dodge vehicles that are featured in the advertisement include the Dodge Charger, the Dodge Viper, and the Dodge Durango. It is currently unknown if any of these vehicles will be utilized by Dom and his crew, but as they have relied upon Dodge vehicles in past installments in the franchise, it seems very likely. Audiences might even see Dom, played by actor Vin Diesel, once again use his classic 1970 Dodge Charger.

A vehicle as iconic as the films themselves

Unfortunately, Dom might be using his Dodge vehicles for the side of evil. The Fate of the Furious will pit Vin Diesel’s character against the rest of his crew after he is once again drawn to a life of crime by a mysterious woman, played by Charlize Theron.

In addition to television spots, Dodge and Universal Pictures will partner to produced licensed products for the film. This includes die-cast replicas and remote-controlled vehicles from Mattel and Jada Toys.

“Fast Dodge cars, adrenaline-filled action and family have fueled the Fast & Furious franchise from the beginning,” says Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands for Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA-North America. “For more than 15 years, the Fast & Furious series has showcased some of the world’s most iconic and significant performance vehicles, and The Fate of the Furious will continue this tradition.”

Keep a look out for all of the Dodge vehicles, perhaps including the long-awaited Dodge Demon, when The Fate of the Furious hits theaters on April 14.
