It’s rumored that the 2016 Challenger SRT Hellcat achieved a Nurburgring track time of 7 minutes 51.51 seconds

When it comes to speed, there are few racetracks that put cars through their paces quite like Nürburgring. Located in Nürburg, Germany, this 12.9-mile long course is the ultimate test of man and machine—all packed in a single lap. It’s because of its high-degree of difficulty and danger that Nürburgring is one of the most infamous racetracks in the world, making the times vehicles get on the track extremely important. For the 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, that means posting an awesome time of 7 minutes and 51 seconds.

While the time has yet to be officially confirmed by Dodge, it is a time that would be fitting of the 707-horsepower Challenger SRT Hellcat. The 2015 Challenger Hellcat model is already reached an amazing 199 miles per hour top speed in a Digital Trends First Drive—so why would the 2016 model be any slower?
