Once again, the Charger impressed in terms of residual value

Maintaining a desired level of residual value is no easy task for any vehicle to achieve, which is why it’s so impressive that the Dodge Charger has earned an ALG Residual Value Award for the fourth year in a row. This year, the Charger is joined by its Jeep-branded relative, the Wrangler, which also earned a 2018 ALG Residual Value Award for its respective vehicle class.

The 2018 Dodge Charger received the ALG award in the “full-size” car category. Meanwhile, the Wrangler was issued its ALG title for the “off-road utility” segment.

According to ALG, the Charger once again received this prestigious residual value award for a variety of reasons. Chief among those reasons was its powerful, yet efficient V6 engine and all-wheel drive capability.

“Striking a delicate balance between traditional sedan and muscle car, the Dodge Charger represents the shifting trends in the full-size segment,” said Jim Nguyen, President of ALG. “A wide range of powertrain and comfort features ensures there is a perfect Charger for every personality. High performance teams up with high value as the Dodge Charger lands its fourth consecutive RVA.”

Meanwhile, the Jeep Wrangler was recognized for its off-road capabilities. The Wrangler’s devoted fanbase and their constant demand for the model undoubtedly added to its value as well.

“Jeep and off-road utility vehicles go hand in hand, so it’s no surprise to see the Wrangler take home the Residual Value Award for the Off-road Utility segment,” Nguyen added.

ALG wasn’t the only organization to recently recognize the Dodge Charger. Earlier this month, Strategic Vision named the Charger as one of the “Most Loved Vehicles in America,” based on a survey of 34,064 new car buyers.

If you’re currently looking for a vehicle that will retain value without breaking the bank, ALG has two suggestions for you to consider: the Dodge Charger and Jeep Wrangler.
