Dodge Slashes Dart Pricing, Simplifies Dart Lineup
The 2016 Dodge Dart lineup has been simplified for the rest of the year
Dodge is changes things up in the 2016 Dart model lineup. The American carmaker’s small car is receiving a price reduction, along with a variety of changes to make the Dart model options as simple as possible.
“We are repositioning the Dart lineup to better align production and dealer inventory with consumer demand and preference,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands for FCA North America. “The simplification of Dart models, coupled with the availability of popular Rallye, Blacktop, and Chrome appearance packages across more of the lineup, makes it easier for dealers to order and stock vehicles that customers are looking for.”

For the remainder of the 2016 calendar year, the Dodge Dart lineup will consist of three models—the Dart SXT Sport, Dart Turbo, and Dart GT Sport. Consumers will also have the option of sprucing up their Darts with the available Chrome, Rallye, and Blacktop appearance packages.
The SXT Sport is the entry-level Dart model. It will have a starting MSRP of $17,995 and will be powered by the 2.0-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine. Other features include remote keyless entry, Fiat Chrysler’s innovative Uconnect infotainment system, Sirius satellite radio, air conditioning, cruise control, steering wheel controls, and 16-inch aluminum wheels.

For the Turbo model, a 1.4-liter turbo engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission for the consumer that loves to drive. It comes with an MSRP of $19,495 and comes standard with a sport appearance hood, integrated dual exhaust, and 17-inch Granite Crystal aluminum wheels. The top trim, the GT Sport, will have a starting MSRP of just $20,995. It will be powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual or an available Powertech six-speed automatic transmission.
Ordering for the repositioned 2016 Dodge Dart will begin this month at dealerships.
