Exit the HighwayWe all know that one of Toyota’s missions is to create a better and more sustainable environment.  For the past several years, this initiative has centered on creating fuel alternative vehicles, reducing carbon emissions and increasing the efficiency in their engines and facilities.

However, their latest initiative is to “inspire people to join the conservation movement.”

Toyota has partnered with the National Audubon Society to launch “Exit the Highway.”  This is a new program that encourages drivers to get off of the highway this summer and take more scenic routes to get in touch with the beautiful world surrounding us.

You can take the pledge to Exit the Highway at their website.  Once you do this, you will be entered for a chance to win a Toyota Prius V.  Toyota and NAS also want you to post pictures of your journeys and even write notes.  Every time you contribute something, you will be entered into the contest.

Check out the Exit the Highway website and start exploring the hidden scenic routes of America.  Let us know below what places you might visit off the highway this summer!
