To date, nearly 8,000 U.S. military veterans have taken advantage of the extended GM Military Discount, which will last through June 30. The recently extended GM Military Discount Program benefits all active-duty military, reservists, retirees, and veterans. Separation date is not a determining factor.

“We anticipate many more will use the discount through the end of the month,” commented Steve Hill, GM vice president of U.S. sales and service. “It’s our small way of thanking those who have made so many sacrifices for the safety and security of our nation.”

Extended GM Military Discount The discount program was actually extended last month, May, which is National Military Appreciation Month. The discount pricing is available to over 21 million U.S. veterans who served in any of the five branches.

But the discount doesn’t entirely go away after June 30, either. GM will still apply the discount to active-duty, reserve, and retired military personnel. Plus, vets within a year of their separation date will also be able to take advantage of the discount at his time.

“GM has a long legacy of support for those who have served,” explained Ken Barrett, GM chief diversity officer and, on top of that, a retired Navy captain. “I’m pleased to see so many of our current and former service members taking advantage of the industry’s best military discount to purchase vehicles for themselves and their families.”

Barrett isn’t exaggerating when he says the discount is the best in the industry. One of the coolest factors of the GM Military Discount is that it can be combined with nearly all customer incentives. On top of that, members of the USAA can get an additional $750 discount.

Not too shabby.
