FCA US Earns Gold Medal for Promoting Healthy Employees
Any good employer knows that healthy employees are happy employees. For Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) US, this means promoting a variety of programs for a healthy workplace and encouraging its employees to live healthy lifestyles. The Italian-American carmaker offers so many health-oriented course that the National Business Group on Health (NBGH) recently recognized FCA US for its programs, awarding the company the organization’s Gold Medal award.
The first FCA US-UAW wellness program was created in 1985, offering a range of services to employees, such as health assessments, biometric screenings, workshops, campaigns, and health coaching. From this first program, the carmaker’s health-oriented workplace continued to grow.
Now, the company provides its employees with fully equipped fitness centers, running and walking trails, a wellness center, and a vast array of healthy eating options in their dining facilities.
This is the seventh year in a row that the Italian-American carmaker has been recognized as promoting healthy lifestyles for its employees and their families. FCA US is the only carmaker to earn the gold medal award from NBGH in the past five years.
