Few Changes Planned for 2019 Cadillac CTS Sedan in What’s Likely to Be Its Last Year
Not much is changing with the Cadillac CTS Sedan for 2019, which makes sense. Now in its third generation, this sporty, luxurious mid-size sedan is expected to be phased out soon and replaced by a newcomer.
For now, though, the CTS has at least one more year left, and here’s what will be different for that model.
CTS buyers will lose three color options for 2019: Phantom Gray Metallic, Silver Moonlight Metallic, and Midnight Sky Metallic.
The CTS Morello Red Edition package is also going away. With that change, Recaro performance seats and black chrome grille with dark grilletes that came with the Red Edition will also be discontinued.
Meanwhile, the high-performance sibling of the CTS, the CTS-V, will also undergo a few changes.

In the color department, the CTS-V is losing two options: Phantom Gray Metallic and Vector Blue Metallic. However, it’s gaining Velocity Red and Wave Metallic.
CTS-V buyers will have access to one less package for the 2019 model year, as the CTS-V Championship Edition will no longer be offered.
Along with the ATS and XTS, the CTS is likely to be discontinued soon, the victim of Cadillac’s increasing focus on bringing new crossovers and SUVs to the market. The XT4 has already been introduced, and more are on the way.
That doesn’t mean Cadillac is giving up on new cars. To replace the CTS and XTS, the brand has plans to introduce a next-generation mid-size sedan, the CT5, in 2020. An as-yet-unnamed small luxury sedan is also in the works.
