Fiat's latest package for the Fiat 500X will leave drivers feeling "blue" in the best of ways

Mr. Blue Sky, please tell us why you had to hide away for so long

When most automakers introduce a new color scheme for their vehicles, the announcement largely goes unnoticed. Fiat isn’t like those other automakers. Instead, the Italian automotive brand goes all out when adding a new hue to the exterior or interior of its models.

In fact, Fiat is making quite a big deal out of its latest color-based package: the Fiat 500X Blue Sky Edition.

Exclusive to the 2018 Fiat 500X, the Blue Sky Edition package unsurprisingly adds a Blue Sky Metallic color scheme to the Fiat 500X. Customers can always switch out that bright blue hue for the Bianco Gelato, Grigio Graphite, or Nero Cinema exterior colors instead.

The package’s blue-themed color scheme isn’t just limited to the vehicle’s exterior. The Fiat 500X Blue Sky Edition’s cabin is also adorned with a blue-toned environment, consisting of blue-patterned cloth seats and a blue instrument panel.

Other features included with the Blue Sky Edition package include automatic headlamps, fog lamps, and satin chrome accents scattered throughout the vehicle’s exterior. Additionally, drivers and passengers can enjoy the ambiance that a dual-pane powered sunroof provides.

“With all-wheel-drive confidence, best-in-class torque and room for five, the Fiat 500X is fun to drive and wrapped in iconic Italian design,” said Steve Beahm, Head of Passenger Car Brands for FCA – North America. “The new Blue Sky Edition offers yet another unique customization option for our Fiat 500X customers.”

The Blue Sky Edition package can be applied to front-wheel drive models of the 2018 Fiat 500X for $1,495 and all-wheel drive models of the 500X for $1,195. The package will be available at Fiat studios later this spring.
