Strayer University’s Degrees@Work Program

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles today announced that it would be implementing Stayer University’s Degrees@Work program across all its Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, and Fiat dealerships here in the United States. This means employees will be able to enroll in college courses to earn a degree at no cost and with no debt. They’ll be able to complete their degrees online or at any of Strayer’s on-site campuses across the country.

FCA hopes that enacting this program will increase employee satisfaction and retention and will also improve the skills of those already in its employ. The automaker is the only one in the industry to offer this program.

“Many of our dealers have expressed concern over the availability of talent to fill open positions due to business growth and turnover in their stores, especially in metro markets,” said Al Gardner, Head of Dealer Network Development and President & CEO of the Chrysler Brand. “Our goal is to position our dealer network as the ‘employers of choice.’ Our collaboration with Strayer demonstrates our focus on building our dealers’ hard-working employees’ skillsets to help them perform at an optimal level while also investing in their long-term success.”

The first phase of the Degrees@Work program will be rolled out to FCA dealers in the Southeast Business Center, which includes dealers in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and North and South Carolina. Employees will be able to enroll for the summer or fall.

Stayer University offers programs for associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees.
