2015 Jeep Wrangler and 2015 Dodge Charger Win Big

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has been on a roll this month in terms of awards. Already this year, FCA has earned six 2015 Edmunds Most Popular Awards (Dodge Charger, Dodge Durango, Dodge Grand Caravan, Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Ram 1500), four IHS Automotive Loyalty Awards (Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Challenger, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Jeep Wrangler), a Best Hauler Award and Best Value Award (Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Dart, respectively), the 2015 Green SUV of the Year Award (Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel), and the recently announced Four Wheeler of the Year Award (Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk). Added to that list as we finish out January are two Best Resale Value Awards from Kelley Blue Book.

The 2015 Jeep Wrangler earned a Best Resale Value Award for the fourth consecutive year.

The two Best Resale Value Awards go to the 2015 Jeep Wrangler and the 2015 Dodge Charger, neither of which is any stranger to praise (as evidenced above). This marks the fourth year in a row that the Wrangler has earned this distinction in its class. Just as impressive, it’s also the fifth straight year that the Wrangler has ranked in the top ten. The Dodge Charger nabbed its award in the Full-Size Car category.

The 2015 Dodge Charger also snagged an award.

“The entire list of Top 10 Best Resale Value vehicles is dominated this year by trucks, SUVs and crossovers, which is a testament to the strength these categories will carry in the future,” remarked Eric Ibara, director of residual value consulting for Kelley Blue Book.

SUV and truck sales are currently on the rise. Experts believe this increase coincides with lower gas prices, but analysts are not yet sure whether either trend (increased big model sales or decreased gas prices) will continue long-term.
