A recent Autoblog article took the concept of getting the most “bang for your buck” very literally, by comparing the price and horsepower of every car on the market to determine which vehicle provided the most ponies for the fewest dollars. The winner, by a nose, was the fifth-gen Chevy Camaro, which offers the most horsepower-per-greenback of any car currently on sale.

With a cost of $23,705 and a 323 hp 3.6-liter LFX V6 engine, the Camaro only costs $73.39 per horsepower. The 435 hp Ford Mustang GT, which costs $73.79 per pony, is a close second.

Specifically in the 300-400 hp category, the Toyota Tundra V8 ($76.43 per hp) is second to the Camaro, while the Hyundai Genesis Coupe ($76.87/hp), Dodge Ram 2500 5.7-liter ($80.12 per hp) and Ford F-250 6.2-liter ($81.13 per hp) occupy the third, fourth and fifth slots.

Chevy also topped the 100-200 horsepower category with the Colorado pickup, which costs $100.60 per horsepower.
