First of all, our deepest apologies for making you sing Europe’s “The Final Countdown” in your head for the remainder of the day (we’ll be right there with you, hating ourselves). Second, our earworm title is pretty legit, because we are, in fact, entering the final countdown until the 2015 Toyota Camry launch, which is set for mid-September.

With the launch less than 30 days away, American Toyota dealers are prepping for the arrival of the redesigned sedan. In fact, U.S. dealers plan on spending $1 billion total just this year to upgrade their facilities and make them more inviting for customers shopping for a car. Although the 2015 Camry is not a complete redesign, it’s a fairly major mid-generation refresh, and Toyota dealers hope to target the 10 million drivers who have bought a Camry since 1983.

Although the Camry has some stiff competition in its segment (think Mazda3, Ford Fusion, and Honda Accord), it’s remained the top choice of American drivers looking for a reliable and affordable midsize sedan. Toyota has kept quiet on pricing information ahead of the 2015 Toyota Camry launch, but we fully expect it to remain close in price to the 2014.5 Camry, which carries an MSRP of $22,425. Upgrades to the 2015 model include a heavily redesigned front end, wireless phone charging, and optional safety features like lane departure warning and cross-traffic alert.

Stay tuned to The News Wheel as we get closer to the 2015 Toyota Camry launch date.
