Final Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Getting Auctioned Off for Charity
Mitsubishi has finally laid the Lancer Evolution to rest. After producing 1600 Final edition models, there will be no more Evo models produced in a Mitsubishi factory. That doesn’t mean you can’t still your hands on one, though. The last Evo model ever produced is going to be auctioned off this week on eBay.
A Turbocharged Future: Check out Mitsubishi’s future turbocharged engines
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition has a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, churning out 303 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. This iconic rally car also comes with an available five-speed manual transmission and special suspension tuning. Bilstein shock absorbers and Eibach springs are included in this special transmission. The final model, which is set to be auctioned off on eBay this week, comes with a New Diamond White Pearl exterior paint job, Final Edition badging, and, of course, the final 1600 number badge that identifies it as the last Evo ever produced.

While it’s sad to see the number 1600 Lancer Evolution being auctioned off, it’s at least for a good cause. The proceeds of the auction will go to Feeding America Riverside in San Bernardino and Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. This is the perfect time for this auction, since it corresponds with national Hunger Action Month, during which Feeding America and other member food banks ask American citizens to fight hunger in their area all month long.
This online auction will begin today, Thursday, September 8th at 9am Pacific/12pm Eastern and will end next week on September 15th at the same time. To find the auction, head over to eBay’s “Motors” subsite when the auction opens.
