The first 2015 F-150 sold in the United States hit the streets on Thanksgiving

Hope you all had a super nice Thanksgiving and hopefully managed not to get trampled trying to grab up a copy of The Walking Dead – Season Four on Blu-Ray at Best Buy. During your Thursday dinner (again, assuming you weren’t in line outside of a Best Buy anticipating being walked all over on your way to buying something), you probably took a little bit of time to reflect on the things for which you are thankful.

If you’re Tim Kingsbury of San Antonio, Texas, you had one new thing for which to express gratitude. Specifically, Tim Kingsbury is now the proud owner of a 2015 Ford F-150, which just so happens to be the first 2015 F-150 sold in the United States.

Ford had a ceremony for Kingsbury to celebrate his new acquisition on Thanksgiving morning at Bluebonnet Motors in New Braunfels, where the former New Braunfels High School Unicorns football coach (and father of current Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury) traded in his old F-150 for an all-new truck.

While Kliff’s Red Raiders just missed upsetting the No. 5-ranked Baylor Bears that following Saturday, it’s reassuring to know that Tim was probably quick to offer his son a consolation run to the Dairy Queen for a chocolate-dipped cone in his new pickup truck.
