Lexus UX concept crossover SUV to debut at Paris Motor Show

Usually, we at The News Wheel don’t have a lot of exciting Lexus news to report. For the most part, the luxury brand plays it safe and doesn’t draw attention to itself with flashy, pointless gimmicks (apart from that hoverboard fiasco).

But recently, an announcement from Lexus caught the industry’s attention–and for good reason. The high-class Japanese brand has revealed the first look at a stunning new concept model called the UX. If you’ve never been a fan of Lexus, it’s time you took notice of where this company is headed.

The Lexus UX concept vehicle is a clear indication of what the brand is capable of and how it’s addressing the rising popularity of SUVs and crossovers in the market.

So far, we know that the UX Concept was created at ED2, Lexus’ European Design Center, which employed the brand’s L-Finesse design language to create this sporty, sleek crossover SUV. Lexus has disclosed that the UX is intended for “progressive, urban audience living in a connected environment”–that popular demographic every automaker is aiming at–so the UX will no doubt be filled with the latest technology.

Its body styling is what’s especially drawing attention, due to its combination of coupe proportions and futuristic flairs. Of course, being a concept vehicle only, the final production version of the UX will probably lose the accentuated lines, fenders, and wheels it currently flaunts.

The UX will make its official public debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, where the automaker will unveil the SUV in person at its press conference on September 29th. Check back with The News Wheel later this month when we cover the debut of the highly-anticipated UX.
