The 2016 Chevrolet Volt has finally been reviewed—and it passed with flying colors

One Canadian Volt owner recently became the first person to review the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Volt. If only we were all that lucky.

The 2016 Volt, which is currently in production at the Detroit Hamtramck facility, has reportedly seen a lot of improvements—many of which the Canadian reviewer has confirmed. According to the new review, the 2016 model is “a big improvement” over the first-generation Volt, which has seen a number of awards.

With better visibility, a higher quality interior, intuitive controls, and comfortable seating, the interior of the 2016 Volt is truly superior to its predecessors. But that’s not all—the 2016 model has also received a mighty boost in both range and the ability to accelerate. The 2016 now offers a 53-mile all-electric range, making it an appealing option for many consumers that don’t want to spend a lot of time at the gas pump.

Other new perks from the 2016 model include integrated wireless charging for your mobile phone, optional heated rear seats, and Apple CarPlay. This eco-friendly car even has new steering wheel paddles that provide strong regenerative braking on demand, engaging the Volt’s brake lights while recharging its battery.

With the first Volt review practically singing the hybrid car’s praise, it comes as no surprise that the rest of the industry is awaiting their own chance to drive the newest addition to Chevrolet’s lineup.
