First Toyota 100 Cars for Good Vehicle Delivered
During a celebration to recognize the hard work of its volunteers, members of the non-profit One Simple Wish got the chance to celebrate even more. While the party was happening, the organization got a little surprise with the arrival of a Toyota 100 Cars for Good vehicle, which was delivered by legendary hip-hop artist, Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels, of Run-D.M.C and is the first Toyota 100 Cars for Good vehicle to be delivered this year.
“As another successful 100 Cars for Good comes to a close, it’s just the beginning for the charities who have new vehicles to broaden and support their good work,” said Michael Rouse, vice president of diversity, philanthropy and community affairs for Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. “We are proud to give back to so many inspiring groups and strengthen our commitment to supporting communities around the country.”
The vehicle, which was a Toyota Highlander, will enable One Simple Wish to easily transport gifts, school supplies, and personal care items to foster children across New Jersey. It is one of 100 cars that will be delivered to non-profits across the country who are being recognized after being selected by voters.
