Five Chrysler Group Vehicles Earn Edmunds Awards at NYIAS
Chrysler and its brands scored big in the first-ever “Most Popular on Edmunds.com” and “Top Rated Vehicles on Edmunds.com” awards ceremonies last week at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS). Five Chrysler Group vehicles across the Ram, Jeep, and Dodge brands took home prizes doled out by—you guessed it—the experts at Edmunds.com.
Chrysler Group Vehicles Earn Edmunds Awards: Ram
The 2014 Ram 1500 and 2500 were each named “2014 Top Rated Vehicles on Edmunds.com,” signifying that both had earned ratings of “A” or better from the website’s testing team. In order to make the cut, vehicles must fare exceptionally well in track testing and measure up against in-class rivals.
Chrysler Group Vehicles Earn Edmunds Awards: Jeep
The Jeep® Grand Cherokee represented Chrysler’s rugged brand by winning the “2014 Most Popular on Edmunds.com” Award in the midsize traditional SUV category.
Chrysler Group Vehicles Earn Edmunds Awards: Dodge
The Dodge Durango and the Dodge Grand Caravan both earned Most Popular on Edmunds.com awards in the categories of large traditional SUV and minivan, respectively.
The “Most Popular” awards are determined by the number of unique visitors on a monthly basis to Edmunds’ research and inventory pages for models.
“Chrysler Group is very proud to accept these awards from Edmunds.com,” said Doug Betts, Head of Quality for Fiat S.p.A. and Chrysler Group LLC., in a press release. “The men and women at Chrysler work very hard to create the best vehicles on the market today, and every award received is proof that we are succeeding.”
With April sales reports just over the horizon, and Ram coming off of its first victory over segment rival Silverado in over a decade, we shall see if all of these accolades add up to more sales success for Chrysler Group brands.
