Florida Woman Incriminates Self with Drunk Driving Video
People do a lot of stupid things when they’re drunk. One of the stupidest things they do is drink and drive. If that isn’t bad enough, one Florida woman took things to the next level—and decided to post a Periscope video while driving drunk.
Earlier this month, a Whitney Marie Beall of Lakeland, Florida, got herself arrested for allegedly drunk driving after posting her drunken ramp while driving. In the video, she explicitly states, “I am drunk. This is horrible!”
She then goes on to say, “I’m driving. I think I’m on a flat tire. This is horrible… Goodbye red light… This song is super hot, I want you guys to know.”
When the video was posted, it quickly spread online. According to WTSP, a number of concerned viewers sent the woman text messages begging her to stop driving.
Watch Beall’s Terrible Drunk Decision:
To stop the woman from harming herself or others out on the road, a viewer also called the Lakeland police. Because the department is forbidden from using Periscope on work computers, an officer had to use a personal account to track the drunk driver. Through the app, they were able locate the woman and attempted to pull her over—but she didn’t surrender quietly. WTSP states:
Her vehicle abruptly hit the south curb with the right front tire/wheel just as officer’s initiated a traffic stop. Officers advised that the driver did not even brake after striking the curb. Beall’s vehicle stopped in the 1000 block of Carpenters Way. Officers advised that they smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from Beall, her speech was slow; her eyes were bloodshot.
Beall was eventually apprehended and completely failed her field sobriety test, then was arrested and charged with DUI.
