2013 Ford F-150If the saying goes that you are only as young as you feel, then Floyd Pullin of Confluence, Pa. must be feeling like a strapping young buck behind the wheel of his brand new 2013 Ford F-150 STX.  If that concept holds any water, Mr. Pullin might be some kind of Time Lord, given the astounding fact that the STX is the sixteenth Ford he has bought since the 1920s.

Yes, your math is correct: Floyd Pullin is 102 years young.

To celebrate his 102nd birthday, Mr. Pullin visited his local dealership—Thurby Riverside Ford in Confluence—where he received his latest bounty: the 2013 Ford F-150 STX, which is capable of a very burly and very youthful 302 horsepower with the standard 3.7L V6 engine in place.  We’d like to think that Mr. Pullin went for absolute broke and opted for the 6.2L V8 and its 411 horses, perfect for scaring neighborhood-dwelling whippersnappers and rapscallions away from his lawn for good.

The fine folks at Thurby Riverside and Ford Motor Co. also put together a special birthday video message for Mr. Pullin from the men and women of the Ford Trucks team and presented him with a certificate naming him Honorary Ford Trucks President (for a day).  Sure, have a laugh about that last bit, but in that 24-hour period, Floyd Pulling funded and launched the Ford Cryostasis Engineering Division, sent out an enormous fleet of F-Series trucks out to find the Fountain of Youth, and used SYNC with MyFord Touch to locate the last of the other remaining Highlanders (as there can be only one).

Seriously, look into the eyes of this century-plus old man and tell us he doesn’t look like he would step down out of that beautiful STX and knock the far out of you.  Happy 102nd birthday, Floyd Pullin!  Enjoy your 2013 F-150 STX and please, please don’t hurt us.
