Back in April at the New York Auto Show, we caught our first glimpse of two new Scion vehicles debuting for 2016—the iA and the iM. These vehicles signify the beginning of something new and exciting for Scion—the offering of sportier, more affordable vehicles designed to cater to the Millennial generation. And to show how cool these cars are, Forbes has named both in its list of 13 Hottest New Cars for 2016, up there with the likes of the 2016 Mazda MX5 and the Mercedes-Benz Maybach S600.

The Scion iA is a sporty sedan that houses a 1.5-liter engine and shares components with the Mazda2. Scion estimates that the iA will be capable of getting an incredible 42 mpg on the highway. The Scion iM hatchback is slightly more powerful, with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder motor and gorgeous styling that’s sure to make it a hit with younger drivers. The iA is thought to cost around $16,000, while the iM should come in at the $20,000 mark.

As with all Scion vehicles, the two new models will be offered in single trim levels with a plethora of accessories and customization options. With the release of these cars, Scion hopes to become the go-to brand for new drivers looking for incredible style at a low price.

Look for the Scion iA and iM to go on sale in the US later this year or early next year.
