Ford has been a long-time sponsor of the GRAMMY Foundation® and its music education outreach efforts. 2015, it seems, will be another banner year for the partnership with additional monies being donated and the winner of the 2015 Music Educator of the Year Award winning a brand-new 2015 Ford vehicle.

“Education is the cornerstone of a brighter future, and we are proud to work with the GRAMMY Foundation because of our shared commitment to providing educational opportunities for all,” said Pamela Alexander, director of community development, Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services. “Expanding our association to include another innovative Ford community program and a brand new Ford vehicle for the Music Educator of the Year is a great way to award the hard work of teachers and schools throughout our country.”

The Music Educator Award and its honorariums are supported by the Ford Fund and have been since 2009. As such, this year’s Music Educator of the Year, Jared Cassedy of Windham High School in New Hampshire, will win a 2015 Ford vehicle of his choice.

Ford will also provide up to $6,000 to 25 semifinalists for the award through its Drive 4 Ur School program, which has been responsible as providing nearly $25 million to schools around the country since 2007.

Ford served as the presenting sponsor at this year’s GRAMMY in the Schools Live!—A Celebration of Music & Education.
