2016 Shelby GT350R for Cattle Baron's Ball

Ford will auction off a one-off 2016 Shelby GT350R Mustang this Saturday as part of the 2015 Cattle Baron’s Ball charity auction. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society, which has held the annual Cattle Baron’s Ball in metropolitan Detroit since 2003.

“We are customizing this unique Shelby GT350R Mustang to attract the highest possible bids from car collectors and, ultimately, the most money to support American Cancer Society research, programs and services for cancer survivors and their loved ones,” said Hau Thai-Tang, Ford Motor Company group vice president, Global Purchasing and Honorary Chair of the Cattle Baron’s Ball.

This Shelby GT350R will be one of a kind due to its Oxford White exterior with blue stripe, as well as Cattle Baron’s Ball “one-of-one” sill plates and instrument panel badging. The interior will also feature blue accent stitching on the door panels, seats, center console, steering wheel, and instrument panel. It will utilize carbon fiber exterior accents, and it will be the first Shelby GT350R with a Ford Performance Parts rear seat kit.

All proceeds raised by the auction will benefit the American Cancer Society. Over more than 40 years of support, the Ford Fund has donated nearly $2 million to the Detroit-area ACS, nearly half of which has been contributed through the Cattle Baron’s Ball.
