Ford sold 73,040 units in China during February, which improves upon January’s 53 percent overall year-to-year increase. As it stands, Ford China’s February 2014 sales put the automaker’s year-to-date sales up 50 percent with 167,506 vehicles sold so far this year.
Passenger car sales were up 88 percent in February (56,284 units), bring Ford’s year-to-date total to 128,882 through the first two months of 2014. Two of the biggest contributors were the Ford Mondeo and Focus. Mondeo sales leapt 123 percent with 7,755 units sold in February, and the Focus moved 27,899 vehicles—good for a 13 percent increase over February of last year.
With continued growth expected throughout the rest of the year for Ford and the Focus’ popularity on the rise, do you believe they will end the year once again with the world’s best-selling vehicle nameplate?
