Ford Motor Company Fund has announced two separate investments into Texas education via the Ford Driving Dreams program. Ford will provide scholarships for students in Houston and San Antonio through the Ford Driving Dreams program to the tune of $100,000 and $50,000, respectively.

The scholarships are being co-presented by both the Houston Ford Dealers and San Antonio Ford Dealers. In order to be eligible, students should be high school seniors preparing to graduate in 2016 with plans to pursue a degree in the STEM field at an accredited two- or four-year college or university.

The scholarships will total $2,000 each and will be awarded to students who submit a “What Drives Your Dream?” essay by February 29th. The scholarships are administered by LULAC National Education Service Centers, Inc.

Through various ongoing programs, including Ford Blue Oval Scholars and Ford Next Generation Learning, Ford Motor Company Fund churns out more than $8 million in scholarships and education initiatives every year.

Ford also recently announced that it will be creating $400,000 in Ford Driving Dreams scholarships throughout North Texas.
