Ford Drops Stylish C-MAX Sport Variant in Europe
Ford may have brought production of the C-MAX to a halt in the United States, making it the first of its cars to get the axe, but that doesn’t mean that it’s giving it the boot in other markets. In fact, Ford is offering up a new special edition, the C-MAX Sport, that is available to customers in Europe beginning this month.
“Families shouldn’t have to choose between practicality and excitement when buying a new car, and our new Ford C-MAX Sport model delivers both, with an extra-spacious interior featuring flexible and removable rear seats that can be easily configured for more passenger room or luggage space, and distinctive, eye-catching exterior styling,” said Roelant de Waard, vice president, Marketing, Sales, and Service, Ford of Europe. “High-series vehicles attract more and more of our customers, and demand for dynamically styled vehicles with advanced technologies continues to grow.”
Unique to the Ford C-MAX Sport are 17-inch alloy wheels; black contrast roof, mirrors, and fog lamp bezels; and larger, body-color rear spoiler and side sills. It’s also offered with optional 18-inch wheels for even greater curb appeal. On the inside, the C-MAX Sport is distinguished by black cloth seats with stylish grey contrast stitching.
Beneath the hood, the C-MAX Sport is equipped with the choice between the award-winning 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine, a 1.5-liter EcoBoost, 1.5-liter TDCi diesel, or a 2.0-liter TDCi diesel, the latter two of which are offered with two different levels of output.
Rad C-MAX, whether art thou? Not in America, unfortunately.
