Ford Earns Three HonestJohn Reader Awards
Ford this week took home three awards in the 2016 HonestJohn.co.uk reader awards, with the Fiesta, S-MAX, and Mustang all earning prizes for excellence in their respective segments.
The Fiesta earned the title of Most Popular Small Hatchback, the S-MAX was named the Most Popular MPV, and the Mustang was named the Most Popular Convertible. All HonestJohn.co.uk awards are determined by users of the website based on the models that are most-commonly searched for. The website, which gets around 3 million views every month, pulled search data for April 2015-April 2016 to decide the winners.

The Fiesta, which has been the UK’s best-selling car for 90 straight months and one of Europe’s most popular cars since its introduction, was the natural choice for its segment.
“As an all-rounder the Ford Fiesta is a hard one to beat, proving equally at home on the motorway as it is around town,” said Dan Harrison, editor of honestjohn.co.uk. “Our users also tell us they’re impressed by the Fiesta’s turbocharged EcoBoost engines, which deliver eager performance.”
The S-MAX, of which Ford has sold more than 87,000 units since its debut a decade ago, earned the award for its segment thanks to the new model’s improved style, performance, and technology.
The Mustang, which has only been available in the UK for 10 months, was a huge hit thanks to five decades of anticipation and a superior combination of power and sophistication.
“The Ford Mustang may be a truly iconic model, yet it has remained elusive for British drivers,” Harrison said.” So Ford’s decision to finally officially sell it here was met with huge interest and enthusiasm. It came as no surprise to us that our audience were keen to read about the new Mustang. Given its affordable price tag, it represents a lot of car for the money, yet is always guaranteed to get attention.”
Ford has been the UK’s best-selling brand for 39 years.
