Ford launched the all-new Everest in Zimbabwe last month, touting the SUV’s stylish exterior, spacious interior, and ability to expertly handle the terrain both on- and off-road.

“With the all-new Ford Everest, we’re launching an extremely capable and competitive premium SUV that performs equally well as a comfortable and refined family vehicle or taking on the roughest terrains,” says Tracey Delate, General Marketing Manager, Ford Motor Company Sub-Saharan Africa. “The Everest is a completely new vehicle inside and out with a host of first-in-class features, providing unmatched value in its segment.”

While much of the talk surrounding the new Ford Everest will be with regards to its luxurious interior, its athletic stance, or its ability to handle the road less traveled, one of its bigger selling points will be its introduction of Ford SYNC 3 to the Zimbabwean market.

“SYNC 3 brings to life even more innovative new ways of staying connected on the move,” added Delate. “Designed to complement modern smartphones, with an intuitive touch screen and an exciting array of new features, SYNC 3 understands even more conversational speech commands, is significantly faster, and offers a higher resolution interface that is simpler and easier to read and use than the outgoing SYNC 2 system.”

The Ford Everest Limited will be standard with SYNC 3, and it will also include two USB ports and 10-speaker audio. The Everest will be offered in three trims: XLS, XLT, and Limited.

The Everest will be offered with two engine options: a 2.2-liter inline-four diesel and a 3.2-liter inline-five diesel. The 2.2-liter will be offered with a standard six-speed manual transmission and 2WD drivetrain and available six-speed automatic and AWD drivetrain; the 3.2-liter I-5 will be standard with AWD and six-speed automatic.
