The Ford Transit range is second in UK total vehicle sales behind Fiesta

Ford maintained its sales and market share lead in the United Kingdom in November with another strong month for its total vehicle, car, and commercial sales. Again, Ford experienced record growth from its commercial vehicle lineup, achieving its highest sales level since 1986. Total vehicle sales were up 15.9% in November, significantly better than the industry average of 5.3% year-over-year growth.

“This is the benefit of ongoing investment in exciting products and industry-leading technologies, both in cars and CVs. Our latest newcomers, including C-MAX, S-MAX, Galaxy, Mustang, and Mondeo Vignale, will boost our sales momentum even more.”

Ford vehicles accounted for 25% of the top 20 vehicles sold in the UK in November—the Fiesta ranked number one, followed by the Focus at number three, Transit Custom at number five, Kuga at number 15, and Transit at number 18.

The Ford Fiesta is the UK best seller by a significant margin

The Fiesta alone accounted for 7,826 sales in November, bringing its to-date total to 124,457 units. The Fiesta is the UK’s number one retail car by a large margin, moving 39,294 vehicles more than its closest competitor.

Ford controlled a 10.5% sales share of the retail car market in November and a 12.2% retail car sales share to date.
