The Fusion dominated Ford June sales with 27,604 units delivered

Ford June sales figures were six percent off the mark of June 2013 with total deliveries of 222,064 vehicles. Retail sales (145,989 vehicles) were down five percent from last year, and fleet sales (76,075) were down seven perfect. Not everything was in decline for Ford last month, however: the Fusion and the Transit Connect both enjoyed record months.

“Both the Fusion and Transit Connect set records in June, continuing their sales momentum,” said John Felice, Ford vice president, U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service. “F-Series again topped 60,000 sales and is tracking to our inventory plan with the lowest incentives among the major players in the segment.”

The Fusion was up 13.5 percent in June with 27,604 units sold, keeping it well ahead of its year-to-date 2013 pace (165,498 units through June 2014 vs. 161,146 units through June 2013).

The Transit Connect was up nearly 30 percent with 4,573 units sold, good for its best June sales figure ever. Ford says that the Transit Connect was up 55 percent in retail sales, and that the Transit Connect Wagon in particularly was a strong contributor to this end.

Despite being down 11 percent, sales of Ford F-Series trucks topped 60,000 units once more. To date, the F-Series has accounted for 365,825 sales for Ford.

The new Ford Transit van, which went on sale at the end of the month, totaled 490 sales.
