Ford is having a banner year in the NASCAR Nationwide series, and Brad Keselowski was able to extend the automaker’s success over the weekend with a win at Texas Motor Speedway.  With Keselowski’s win, the Ford NASCAR Nationwide team’s win total rises to 14 on the season, only two shy of the all-time record that Ford set back in 2002.

“I think Ford has an excellent package for this Nationwide side,” said Keselowski after the race. “A lot of that credit goes to Doug Yates and his group at Roush Yates Engines, which I think is kind of another story about the potential that the Ford product has in being in the first year together. I want to see things get stronger.”

Keselowski Takes the Win!

It’s not only Ford that is posting a historic year; Keselowski himself is off to an incredible start.  His first win at Texas Motor Speedway over weekend marked his sixth victory in 14 starts this season.  Keselowski prides himself in not getting caught up in the numbers, but not even he could overlook that impressive mark.

“I don’t really like stats because I feel like you can twist stats to your favor and they don’t really tell the whole story. If there’s one that I do like, that’s it,” said Keselowski.

Do you think the Ford NASCAR Nationwide team will beat its single-season record of 16 wins?  Will Keselowski’s winning ways continue?  Leave a comment and let us know what you think!
