Ford of Canada Sales Increase 3.2% as F-Series Sets February Record

Ford of Canada delivered a total of 18,985 vehicles in February, good for a 3.2% year-over-year increase. The automaker led with record February sales for the F-Series, which saw 10,251 trucks delivered during the month.

Also experiencing record sales in February was the Transit Van, which was up 31% year-over-year. Explorer sales increased 41%, giving the SUV its best sales since 2004. Sales of the E-Series were up 11%, Escape sales were up 13%, Expedition sales were up 59%, Flex sales were up 65%, Mustang sales were up 39%, and C-MAX sales were up 55%.

Ford truck sales were up 5.3% year-over-year with 16,800 units sold in February; they’re also up 5.7% to-date with 32,171 units sold. Car sales were down 10.9% in February with 2,185 units delivered and are down 12.3% through the first two months of the year with 4,046 units sold.

“It’s been a great start to the new year. The all-new 2017 Ford Super Duty and the 2017 Ford F-150 are resonating with our truck customers for work and for family,” said Mark Buzzell, president and CEO, Ford of Canada. “Customers continue to appreciate the quality, innovation, safety and service across our lineup when choosing Ford.”

Lincoln brand sales were up 13% in February, led by a 56% increase for the MKZ and 16% increase for the MKX.

“We look forward to continuing to introduce new customers to the craftsmanship, elegance and effortless performance of Lincoln in the year ahead.” said Buzzell.

After two months, Ford of Canada’s sales total 36,217 units, up 3.3% year-over-year.
