Ford of Europe Increases Sales, Market Share in November

Ford’s sales in Europe rose 20.4% in November, marking the automaker’s best result on the continent in six years. Ford sold 101,500 vehicles across the Euro 20 markets, pushing its to-date sales total to 1,181,200 vehicles. Ford sales through 11 months are up 9.9% from the total sold in Europe through November 2014.

“We are finishing 2015 with a lot of momentum and well positioned for an even better 2016,” said Roelant de Waard, vice president, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford of Europe. “The new Ford showroom—from our new family cars, to our performance line-up, to our SUVs and commercial vehicles—is attracting new customers and really changing our brand image.”

Ford’s total vehicle market share in the Euro 20 was up 0.4% in November to a total of 7.9%; year-to-date, its market share is up 0.1% at 8.1%. In the cumulative 50 European markets, Ford’s market share was up to 7.6% in November (up 0.7%) and is up to 7.7% to-date (up 0.5%).

Ford’s passenger car market share totaled 7% in November thanks to increasing sales for the new Mustang, Mondeo, C-MAX, and Fiesta. SUV sales were also up, and Ford once again maintained its status as Europe’s top commercial vehicle brand.
