Ford of Europe July Sales Get a Boost from EcoSport, Kuga, Fiesta ST
Ford gained 1.7 percent year-over-year in sales in its traditional 20 European markets in July. Sales last month totaled 101,800 vehicles, with 74,300 passenger vehicles and 27,500 commercial vehicles sold. Passenger vehicles were up 1.4 percent and commercial vehicles were up 2.5 percent and resulted in a market share gain of 0.1 percentage point.
SUV sales were massive in July, rising 31 percent year-over-year and driven by monthly sales records for both the Kuga and EcoSport. Ford also enjoyed an impressive uptick in sales of its high-series variants — around 71 percent of all passenger cars delivered were Titanium, Vignale, Active, ST-Line, ST, and RS models.

“Our European sales grew in July, based in large part on the strength of our SUV and commercial vehicle lineups,” said Roelant de Waard, vice president, Marketing, Sales, and Service, Ford of Europe.
“Fiesta sales also climbed more than 60 percent last month — with sales of the fun-to-drive Fiesta ST performance derivative accounting for 5 percent of all Fiestas sold.”
It was also a big month for the Ranger pickup, which saw a total of 3,500 deliveries in the Euro 20, good for its best July performance since launch. Ranger is currently the best-selling pickup truck in all of Europe.
