Ford of Europe will be releasing special Black and White Editions of its Fiesta (which you all know and love) and Ka city car (with which you may not be terribly familiar if you’re a statesider). The Fiesta and Ka Black and White Editions will provide special interior and exterior color combinations that are not terribly dissimilar in style from that of the Ford Fiesta Zetec S Red and Black Editions that Ford showed off last summer.

“Black and white is a timeless combination that evokes thoughts of chic 1960s style, and now inspires the design of products from consumer electronics to training shoes,” said John Mcleod, chief designer, Vehicle Personalisation, Ford of Europe. “White is a clean, pure, simplistic colour that contrasts perfectly with sophisticated black. We’ve used that simple combination to deliver distinctive Fiesta and Ka models with a charismatic twist.”

The Ford Fiesta Black and White Editions come in either the hatchback or sedan body style, and are offered with a Panther Black body with Frozen White roof and mirror caps or a Frozen White body with Panther Black rood and mirror caps. Both come standard with 15-inch black alloy wheels with white inserts and are offered with available 16-inch black alloy wheels. A mostly-black interior is punched up considerably with white contrast stitching on the seat trims, leather steering wheel, floor mats, and handbrake gaiter and leather handle. Choice of powertrain ranges from 1.0-liter EcoBoost, 1.0-liter Ti-VCT, 1.25-liter Duratec petrol, 1.4-liter Duratec petrol, 1.5-liter TDCi diesel, and 1.6-liter TDCi diesel.

The Ford Ka Black and White Edition follows a similar pattern, swapping Panther Black for Midnight Black, Frozen White for Crystal White, and 15-inch black alloy wheels for 16-inch Y-Design black alloy wheels with white inserts, and adding an optional body color rear roof spoiler. On the inside, the white elements include seam stitching, headrest-sides, seat bolster-sides, seat base-sides, gearshift knob, center console, grab handles, and air-vent surrounds. The Ka Black and White Edition is offered with the 1.2-liter Duratec petrol engine.

“The seat designs and bold interior detailing for the Black and White Editions means the visual impact runs right through the car. It’s stimulating and youthful and the white wheel inserts help ensure these stylish cars are instantly recognisable on the road,” Mcleod said.

They sure are purty. Shame we won’t be getting them in the States.
